Thumbs down Allies still following me like "stupid" old henchies.

Yep, the allies in the party are still following me and dying like old henchies, they don't stay in the flag. You can still fail a mission/quest because an ally do whatever he/she wants (using the same old henchies AI). Why add all this hero/henchies AI and controls and forget allies?

sounds like something they forgot and will be fixed.

But of course, allies have their own will and you aren't their leader.

Own will? really? They just follow me as old henchies did, like pets, now henchies are smarter. I just failed Arborstone AGAIN, because at the end I can't lure the monsters because Danika go alone to open a door in a very dangerous situation, and game over.

For Arborstone, stay away from the door until you've taken out at least a few of the Stone Rains and other monsters. Danika will stay with your party and live until the end.

Don't kill the boss until last. That's what gets here to start the ritual to open the door.

Edit: Oh and take the path to the left so you come up from behind the last mob instead of right next to the door.

Thanks for the Arborstone tips, anyway that is only one example of a lot of possibilities when is better could control allies too. Imagine (in the same example) if I could put a flag for all (including Danika) and easily lure myself all monsters and finally release all party and go to door; It's not better that way?

that would make things easier but if it was too easy, everyone would finish the game and then have nothing to do, what would be the fun in that?
